Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2014!

We had a nice break from school and all the extra-curricular activities, but had to lay low because of Sofia's ears.  She woke up with an earache on Christmas day that turned into a ruptured eardrum by the time we went to the doctor a few days later.  She is recovering well and we were able to fit in some places we like to go around town.  We love going to Snowflake Lane in Bellevue to see the drummers and light show and get the yummy lollipops.  Bellevue in general turns into a magical winter wonderland this time of year.  We tried to see Santa, but the line was too long and none of the kids were interested anyway.  Sofia and Stella say sitting on Santa's lap is "creepy."  Well, maybe they are right.  Nico was content just sneaking a peak at him.  His sisters have him convinced that the "real Santa" has to be at the North Pole working away on toys, not sitting in some mall.  They say they can tell by the beard if it is the real one or not.

We went ice skating in Bellevue as well.  The girls are getting better, Vic and I can always manage ok, and Nico is just along for the ride.
