It took a while for the real heat to hit us here, but it finally has! We spent the 4th of July with our friends playing outside and having a picnic. Fireworks do not start until about 10:00 here because the sun is just starting to go down then, so no fireworks for us this year.
It has been HOT! The heat is different here, although it was 78 yesterday and 86 today, with 91 in the forecast for tomorrow, there's something with the dry air and mountain altitudes that makes it feel every bit as hot as Dallas, except you just don't sweat (as much). And, we do not have A/C! I'm learning how to circulate air through the house though and am happy to not have that A/C bill!
